2021 was an outstanding vintage. The mild growing season resulted in considerable depth of colour and flavour in the wines. From the 1973 planted Paulownia and Vortmann vineyards, Shiraz was harvested at the end of March and fermented with 28% whole bunches for 8 days. Matured in large format French oak (34% new) for 13 months. A bright and lifted nose of red cherries and crisp blackberries with whole bunch perfume. Intense red fruit complements aromatic pepper and spice from the oak. A vibrant and elegant example of Coonawarra Shiraz.
